Seasons Greetings!

Just wanting to wish all Blue Box readers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

#3 of Blue Box is at the final(ish!) stages now and should be up for purchase early January 2011 – keep checking the blog for updates and details.

Not to tease too much but #3 brings together a wonderful mix of new and old series articles and all great reads too, as for the cover art… simply stunning!

Take care all and have a great time!

Thank You All...

I have had a wonderful response to #1 we are now heading towards the 50 copies sold mark and I have to say I am a little overwhelmed! I expected Blue Box to creep out and maybe catch the attention of a couple of people but instead there has been a great interest and some very positive feedback to accompany it. So I thank you all for you interest, feedback and purchases, it is all much appreciated.

There are still more copies available so please if you feel compelled too spread the word and support the paper fanzine movement!

Cheers

Grant

Getting there...

Hi those watching...

The 'zine is getting there, I have collected all the pieces promised and not to tease but they are all a really high standard of writing! There are pieces to make you laugh, to make you think and those that will educate too. I am just waiting on some art to help fill the gaps in the bottom of pages and then to craft it all together! Trust me the putting it together part is no easy task, I have had some an expert advise from Bob at Whotopia though (thanks Bob!) and with this I hope to get it out there soon.

Yes I know I send the 1st of May for release and without the use of a Blue Box myself that isnt going to happen now but it is coming...

Bear with me and keep watching and getting in touch as my thoughts have already wondered onto #2!

Cheers

bLuE bOx is coming...

A black and white back to basics old-school Doctor Who fanzine written by the fans for the fans. Thats the aim and thats what I have been thinking about doing for a while and have finally decided to take the jump. Spurned on by the superb publications already out there like Whotopia, Shooty Dog Thing, DWAS's Celestial Toyroom and recently the stunning Vworp Vworp together with the recurring questions on forums of 'What fanzines are still out there?' I am going to do it...

Already I have some very talented and established fanzine writers on board and have read some great articles which have kindly been submitted already. I have three very talented artists offering thier work and an interview lined up too and thats just the first issue!

So if you want to be involved too then please get in touch, email me at blueboxsubmissions@hotmail.co.uk or dalek82@hotmail.co.uk with ideas or examples... I look forward to hearing from you.

Thats it for now, I will update here as things happen, I have to admit its all a bit mad yet exciting!

Back soon...

Grant
